           So, today in class we learned about maps pretty boring to say the least but I learned some new things about maps. I learned different types of maps, the details maps have on them, and also the different in the size and scale of continents. We talked about how the scale of continents on a map aren't always so accurate, they have to distort some things to fit on the map. A map with a much larger scale can show almost accurate proportions of the continents and land marks. A map is just a stretched out version of our world , that's why some things are distorted. Also didn't know maps had certain names i thought they were just called maps. In conclusion of today's class we learned the different types of maps, what they are used for, and went over an explanation on why maps aren't always accurate.
